Ja mischien, het plan voor de vrijdag was een bezoek brengen aan Ito en het daarbij behorende zomerfestival, en dan in het bijzonder het erbij behorende vuurwerk.
Naast de gebruikelijke verdachten hadden we afgesproken met een aantal andere Nederlanders die ook op vakantie zijn in Japan op dit moment, vanuit de Anime/games scenes zijn best wel aardig wat Nederlanders op vakantie in Japan, het is niet alleen onze eigen groep van 26 personen, maar Baris en Ilse hebben ook een groep op sleeptouw en er was nog een ander groepje dat op dit moment ergens in Japan rondhobbelt
Maar daar later meer over. In de ochtend was er naast het aangename ook iets nuttigs gepland. CD-Japan had in het festival boekje van "Anime 2008" een advertentie geplaats, daar ben ik persoonlijk wel een beetje trots op want naast het complete voorbereiden en uitvoeren van dat boekje heb ik dus ook die advertentie gemaakt voor ze.
En dus was er een bezoekje aan het kantoor van CD-Japan geregeld, cool. Het werd nog veel beter toen bleek dat het meer als een bezoekje was in de trend van "Wij zijn bedrijf X en we hebben Y% van de markt in handen met Z x miljoen omzet". Men is een online shop en men wil meer gaan bieden als alleen maar CD's, DVD's, tijdschriften en dergelijke. Dat was een leuke discussie over wat wij doen en wat zij doen, goh en wat zou nog meer kunnen doen? Hotelboekingen? Concertkaarten bestellen zou best wel interessant zijn, dat is nu best nog wel een ingewikkeld process dat best wel makkelijker zou kunnen en dan wordt het waarschijnlijk ook wel wat goedkoper.
Al met al was deze ontmoeting erg prettig, nuttig en leerzaam (plus dat je even een graai in de promotiebak mocht doen \0/).
Op naar Ito, het is goed warm, het weer in Tokyo is opgeknapt, nogal wiedus want de twee ergste types uit het gesticht waren terug. Over een zomerfestival kunnen we simpel zijn, het is meestal wel gebaseerd op een religieuze gebeuren want dan tegenwoordig vooral de gelegenheid geeft om er een festival om heen te bouwen, dus de kraampjes met drank en spijzen (zie de Sakura van mijn vakantie in maart/april 2007), de stad is vrolijk versierd, de dames lopen er leuk bij (zover men dat hier in dit modebewuste land al niet doet), er is genoeg om naar te kijken, en later in de avond, vuurwerk!!! Waarin in een uur tijd rustig zo'n 5000 tot 6000 stukken vuurwerk de lucht ingeschoten worden, en dan niet wat je hier in Nederland te zien krijgt, maar het echt indrukwekkende spul.
Jahaaa, het festival begon inderdaad op 8 augustus en duurt tot en met 10 augustus, en raadt eens op welke dag het vuurwerk te bewonderen is. Juist op de dag dat ik ruim 600 km zuidelijker zit, maar dan zit ik naar een heel ander vuurwerk te kijken. |
