Tja wat kan je zeggen van A-nation. Het is een pop festival dat nu enige jaren georganiseerd wordt door het Japanse muzieklabel Avex waarbij het festival door Japan heen toert. De 10e augustus was het de beurt voor de stad Kanazawa, het is een wat kleiner festival.
Ik heb gekeken naar optredens van TRF, Every Little thing, Koda Kumi (met absolut coole cover van Venus, Mariska Veres mocht er in haar tijd best wel zijn, maar Koda Kumi, ahem...), Ai Otsuka, Ami Suzuki, Tohoshinki (een jongensband, dus een prima gelegenheid om even bier te gaan halen), AAA, Nami Amuro, Color (zie Tohoshinki) en Mihimaru GT.
En dan zijn er nog wat tussendoor optredens van wat minder bekende artisten of diegene die juist wat meer in de schijnwerpers gezet moeten worden. Een ervan was van Alan, een Koreaanse zangeres die een song doet in de nieuwe John Woo film "Red Cliff", ziet er indrukwekkend uit en zij kan absoluut zingen.
Er bestaat een kans dat ik de 17e alsnog naar de A-nation in Nagoya ga, ik moet er nog even over denken, ik heb er ondertussen 11 dagen vakantie opzitten en lijkt wel alsof het al weken zijn. |
